Hi Guys...
It's been a while but thats only because we have been busy putting the WHERE WE ARE tour together! We will be performing songs from our latest album plus all the greats too...we have put modern twists of some of the older ones to shine them up and they are sounding splendid! Its all coming together so get yourself down to the gig if youre not already going anyway!
It's gonna be a blast, look forward to seeing you there!
In other news, we were shocked to hear that the ACTUAL location for our 'What About Now' video is no longer there! It was a massive glacier in Iceland and as a result of a recent volcanic eruption it has gone! Wow scary!
See you soon,

Hey all…hope you guys are doing well?
Just dropping you a note to fill you all in on where we are {excuse the pun!} at the minute…
We shot our part of the Help For Haiti video this week in London…it was cool and very interesting to see how everyone will be pieced together..Kylie Minogue was shooting when we arrived so that was fun to chat to her afterwards...funny as I had her on my wall when I was 10! My first crush!! Tuesday was busy busy busy with the next stage of our tour meeting..and what a great stage design we saw!! It’s always nice to feel confident about what’s about to be built for ya and I think if we get this right it will be our best yet! If you haven’t already heard JEDWARD have been added to our support act for Croke Park show in Dublin on June 5th…will they bring Vanilla Ice?! Haha now that would be funny....! So Germany next week for official launch promo of our album, we shall be visiting lots of radio stations etc and really looking forward to seeing all our German fans…it feels like a long time! Jonathan Ross next week too!! I have wanted to do this show for years, I think he is one of the funniest guys around so that’ll be a laugh...! Well that’s it from me, it’s great to be back working and about to travel the world once again promoting our newest single and album..which like we have said before feels special!

Message from Shane
29 January 2009
Hi everyone
I just wanted to say hello and fill you in on everything that’s been going on over the last few weeks as it’s been a while since you heard from us.
Christmas was really lovely. It was actually a bit of a weird one in a way because Gillian’s granny died the day before Christmas Eve. She was 95 and had lived a great life and seen four generations of the family. It actually brought us all closer together and Christmas Day was really special as we had all the family around us – we had 17 of us here for Christmas dinner. Gillian did the cooking, as she also did on New Year’s Day, when there were 34 of us, including 17 grandchildren!
It was probably the nicest Christmas so far, because I hadn’t been rushing around doing promotion and then hurrying to try and buy presents and stuff, so we could enjoy the build-up properly. I’d been looking forward to it for a long time and it was so nice to be at home with the family. Gillian surprised me with a camera that I’d really wanted for ages on Christmas day, which I was so happy with. I got her some handbags and boots and shoes and stuff. It was also the first year that Nicole really understood Christmas and that was amazing to watch. When you’re growing up Santy Claus and all that stuff really makes Christmas for you, and then you get older and Santy doesn’t come anymore, and then when you have kids the magic starts all over again. She was so excited about seeing Santy – we left out a glass of milk and cookies for him. It was Patrick’s first Christmas, but obviously he didn’t really know what was going on.
I’ve been at home all the time for more or less the last six months, apart from a couple of small trips. It’s been really nice to relax and get to do things like play golf every Sunday with Gillian’s dad. It’s quite weird being at home too though because I’ve been thinking about work loads and I need to keep myself busy. It’s the singing I really miss, and I’m looking forward to getting back on the road. I’ve been chatting to the boys and we all agree that the thing we’re most excited about is performing on stage again.
We miss you all and we’re really excited about starting work on the new album. It’s going to be back-to-basics, with all new songs and no covers, like the first few albums. We’ve heard a few of the songs so far and will be hearing the rest over the next few months. I think it’s shaping up to be really good – as it’s the first album of our second decade we want it to be the best so far!
Take care
Love Shane x

Announcement from Shane
17 March 2008
Hi everyone
You've probably all heard the news by now, but I wanted to let you know personally that Gillian and I are having another baby!
I can't even begin to describe how amazing we're both feeling right now - as you can imagine, we're completely over the moon and Nicole is very excited at the thought of having a little brother or sister to play with.
The baby is due in September, so quite a while to go yet, although I'm sure it'll fly by really quickly. Gillian's bump is growing by the day and she's extremely happy and healthy.
I look forward to introducing the new member of the Filan clan to you later in the year!
Love Shane.
SEE YOU ON MONDAY!
25 February 2008
Hi everyone
Right, we've got a quick tea break from production rehearsals and we wanted to say hello before the tour kicks off on Monday.
We're rehearsing like mad in a secret location... a very, very cold location! And we can't wait for you to see the show: when we walked in on Monday and saw the stage set, we were blown away, it's just amazing. We're really pleased with the set list, and are hard at work perfecting the new routines.
Tomorrow is our first full run of the show, which should be interesting...! No, seriously, it'll be great to see how it all comes together. We think this is a really special tour, and we hope you like it. After all, we're celebrating ten years of Westlife!
Speaking of which, we hope you like our new single, ‘Us Against The World' (out 3rd March). As you can see from the video, this song is a reflection of all that we've been through over the past decade: us, our families, and you the fans. It's been a great ride so far, and thank you for joining us... Here's to ten more years!!
Right, better get back. We finish rehearsals here on Saturday before flying back to Ireland ready for our first show in Belfast on Monday. We can't wait to get on the road and say hi to some familiar faces, and a few new ones!
See you soon,
Love Shane, Kian, Nicky & Mark x
A Very Very Very Merry Xmas!
21 December 2007
We’re recording the Late Late Show in Dublin today, which is our last day of work before Christmas. After this we’ll be all heading off home to spend Christmas and New Year with our friends and families.
Thank you so much to everyone who’s bought our music, seen us in concert, posted on our website and supported us in the many other ways that you do. It’s been an incredible year for us, most of which is down to having such brilliant fans.
Wishing you all a very happy Christmas and New Year – see you in 2008!

New Blog Entry
15 December 2007
Hi everyone
Well we're writing this from the ITV studios where we're rehearsing for tomorrow night's show. We've been in dance rehearsals for the past week and today is the first full production rehearsal. We've been doing script read-throughs this morning and it's been really exciting to see what the show looks like on a proper big stage.
Tomorrow will be a dress rehearsal to iron out any last-minute issues, before going live on air at 6.15pm!! All our friends and family are flying over for it, so there's likely to be a few celebratory (hopefully!) drinks afterwards.
It looks set to be a really great event so we're hoping you're all going to have a great time watching it, either in the audience for those of you who've got tickets, or at home on telly. There are a couple of surprises in there too including a very special guest. Plus we'll be singing the number one hits that you voted for and might we just take this opportunity to compliment you on your fine choice.
Wish us luck!

Westlife have written a new blog entry about their upcoming ITV special...
"Our ITV Special!!
Hi everyone
Wow, what can we say - you've made us number one again, it's incredible!! We were all so over the moon when the chart position was confirmed on Sunday: even after all these years we still get excited about it.
The thought that Back Home is our ninth top three album is just so amazing and it's down to the support and loyalty that you've all shown us. So, we're really pleased to have been given the opportunity to put on a very special show for you on ITV next month.
Westlife On Demand will be happening in December and it's a celebration of our career over the past decade. We'll be performing ten tracks - all sung live, all broadcast live! - on the night and the great thing is that you get to pick five of them from the list of our 14 number ones.
All the information is on the ITV site at www.itv.com/westlife including details of how to vote for the song you want us to sing. We're all taking bets on which ones you're going to pick, so will be interesting to see which five are the most popular!
It's set to be a fantastic show and we reckon it's going to be a lot of fun to do. We start rehearsing for it later this month and we can't wait - we've got a few tricks up our sleeves to make sure it's a really top event.
Thanks again,
Love Nicky, Kian, Shane and Mark x"

Message From Mark About Harrods Signing
7 November 2007
'To all the fans…
I got up at 3.15 am this morning to start my joureny to London, making my way from Sligo to Dublin airport. When I got on the plane in Dublin the pilot announced that due to a heavy fog in Heathrow they couldn’t take off for at least another hour and a half. This ended up turning into two and a half hours or so! Trust me, I was a nervous wreck and so disappointed that I was going to miss the signing
When | finally got to Harrods I asked them to announce that I was cancelling my meetings and staying there to sign for whoever wanted a signature. Thanks to everyone that stayed. I didnt think that many would stay behind but as always you showed your support in a massive way!
Once again THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH...sorry to you all, especially the ones whom I didnt meet. Hope to meet you soon...and..........ENJOY THE NEW ALBUM!!!!!!!
lots of love, hugs and kisses

Westlife have now completed the Scottish leg of their tour and are now playing a string of dates in Dublin. Mark wrote a diary update before they
left.
Hi there
Hope you all had a brilliant Easter and ate loads of chocolate, like us! We had a day off on Monday, which was great after another three concerts back-to-back.
The tour is still going fantastically well and even though we’ve played so many dates already, we’re still loving every single show, which is mostly down to the energy and enthusiasm we get from you lot in the audience.
Looking forward to Aberdeen tonight and tomorrow, then another day off before we jump on a plane – Belfast here we come!
Take care

Hi everyone
I’m writing this on our way to Port Elizabeth, where we’re playing our next gig. We’ve had an amazing time in South Africa so far, the fans have been fantastic and we’ve really enjoyed travelling around this beautiful country.
We’d also like to pass on our thanks to all the Australian fans who came to see our shows – we were completely blown away by you and couldn’t have asked for a better start to our tour. It’s impossible to pick a favourite gig as we enjoyed every single night and the reaction from you lot was incredible. Australia’s amazing!
Am going to try and grab some sleep now, like the other lads are doing – we’re all pretty tired, but loving every minute of it.
Catch you soon

So, we have done our first concert of the tour and let me say it was phenomenal! It's always so nice to perform all around the world and get such an amazing reception, so thanks to everyone who was there to support us.
I don't want to give too much away about the show to those coming to the other dates, but I hope those that were there on Wednesday will agree all our hard work rehearsing has paid off. We are having such a ball on the road and can’t wait to continue touring this amazing country.
See you in next week's update

Hello there
Kian here. It’s been another full week of rehearsals for us. We’ve been working incredibly hard and we’re all quite tired, but the show’s come together really well and we’re incredibly proud of it. None of us can quite believe the tour starts next week though!
Flying to Australia today, so that gives us chance for a bit of a rest. We’ve got one final day of rehearsals on Tuesday, and then we’re live on stage in Perth on Thursday!

Hey guys,
During the last week we've been in Sligo doing dance rehearsals for the tour. It's been hard work and we're all aching but it doesn't take long to get back into he swing of it. We think you'll be very happy with the things we've worked on so far.
We've still got a lot of rehearsing to do and the next few weeks will be a tough slog, but believe me it'll be worth it. We can't wait!
Catch you next week for another update.

Last week we were busy doing interviews and shoots for various magazines and radio stations, as well as performing at the Childline Concert in Dublin on Sunday, which was a really special show for us – was great to see lots of familiar faces in the crowd.
This week we’re in Sligo rehearsing for the tour. We had some amazing feedback from you guys on the new stuff we tried out for last year’s tour, and we think you’re going to be really impressed with what we’ve got up our sleeves for this one!

Hey guys,
Well I'm writing to you from sunny Melbourne. I can't tell you how great it is to be getting some sun on our backs. We arrived this morning and have got the whole weekend off, so I reckon we'll be hitting the pool before too long.
We'll be checking out the charts on Sunday of course though! Thanks to everyone who's supported us by buying the single. As always, it's much appreciated. Some of you may have caught us performing it earlier this week on This Morning and Davina. Was so nice to see a lot of you at the studios.
Well, I'm off to work on the tan!

Hi there
This week started off with an interview and shoot for Hello! magazine – should be hitting the news stands soon so keep your eyes open. On Tuesday we were doing some UK promotion, then on Wednesday it was the Brits. We may not have won, but we’re so grateful for all your support – we know you’ve all been voting for us. The award show was great, and the after show parties were even better!
We were at the Top Of The Pops studios on Thursday to record a performance and interview, was nice to see some of you there. Today and the weekend will be taken up with more promo stuff.
That’s it for now.

Hey there
Hope 2006 is treating you well so far. We all had a nice relaxing time over the Christmas period – lots of lovely presents, food and spending time with family and
friends.
This week has been a fairly quiet one for us. On Wednesday we travelled to Finland to perform ‘You Raise Me Up’ at the NRJ Awards in Helsinki, which took place
yesterday. Beautiful country, but absolutely freezing cold at this time of year – it’s been around minus 17
degrees! We’ve all been wearing about three jumpers each!
That’s it for now, take care

On Wednesday we met up with the ‘tea with Westlife’ competition winner, which we really enjoyed, and then later in the afternoon we did a bunch of press interviews.
Yesterday was a day off for us, and today we’re travelling up to Belfast to perform on the Kelly Show, and then it’s straight back to London. We’ll be on CD:UK tomorrow, as well as recording our performances for TOTP.

Hey there
This week started with a whole load of interviews on Monday for various papers and TV shows, then we flew to Sweden on the Tuesday to do some more promo stuff over there. As you can imagine, it was pretty freezing! We stayed there until Wednesday afternoon, then flew back to London. It was over to TOTP Reloaded in the afternoon to record a performance of ‘When You Tell Me That You Love Me’, then we met up with Steve Mac in the studio in the evening.
We’re doing Richard & Judy this afternoon. Tomorrow we’re recording for Record Of The Year, as ‘You Raise Me Up’ is in the running (hint – you can vote for the song during tomorrow’s show!), then we’re off to Oslo in the evening, as we’re performing at the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony on Sunday, which will be very special.

On Thursday we went off to record a show called Brits are Coming. Then off to do an interview at London Tonight.
Friday we were up very early to do Entertainment Today on GMTV, which meant performing ‘When You Tell Me That You Love Me’ with Diana on a huge video screen behind us.
Then in the afternoon we went off to record It Takes Two, which is a sister show to Strictly Come Dancing, including a live interview.
See you all soon

Hey there
Mark here. This is what we’ve been doing this week.
We came down to London on Monday to spend the following day filming the video for the next single ‘When You Tell Me That You Love Me’ with the one and only Diana Ross. I’m not allowed to give anything away, but I think you’ll love it! Then in the evening we did the Christmas lights switch-on on Oxford Street. It was amazing to see so many people there – thanks to everyone who turned up, it was a great night.
We had a day off on Wednesday, then hopped over to Oslo to do a Norwegian TV show on Thursday and then came back to London later that evening. Today we recorded ‘You Raise Me Up’ in Belfast for tonight’s Children In Need. We’re heading off to South Africa this evening to do some more gigs over there.
That’s it for now.

Hi everyone
Mark was supposed to do this week’s diary, but he’s not around at the moment, so you’ve got me instead!
Anyway, this is going to be a quick one because we’re so busy at the moment it’s unreal. We’ve been out in South Africa all week performing at gigs in conjunction with the Nelson Mandela charity, which has been amazing. We’ve played in Cape Town and Jo’burg, both great places. We’ve also met up with the one & only Diana Ross to discuss the video shoot for our next single, ‘When You Tell Me That You Love Me’, so that was pretty special, as you can imagine.
Bye for now

Hey there
This is how our week’s looked…
Monday was of course the day of our album release. Looks like it’s doing really well, so a big thanks to everyone who’s bought it. We did Loose Women at lunchtime and performed ‘You Raise Me Up’ plus a new track off the album, ‘Desperado’, as well as getting a grilling from the Loose Women themselves! Then we hopped on the plane to Germany to do radio interviews in Frankfurt on Tuesday and a TV appearance in Berlin on Wednesday.
Yesterday and today are days off for us, so we’ve had some time to chill out and recharge the batteries. Tomorrow we’re off to Kent to do a performance at the beautiful Leeds Castle in Maidstone, so that should be brilliant, we’re really looking forward to that. And on Sunday we’re travelling to Hillsborough for a performance and fireworks display – another great evening I reckon!
I also want to say thanks so much from all of us for giving us our 13th number one single. We really appreciate all of your support.
Bye for now

Here’s what we’ve been getting up to this week…
Monday was of course a very special day for us as our new single ‘You Raise

lot of fun as Paul’s a great guy. On Tuesday we met the winner of the
competition on This Morning, then in the evening it was more interviews, this
time a live one with MTV and two international ones.
Wednesday was a brilliant day as we were in the studio recording with Steve
Mac, who’s produced a whole load of top tracks including ‘Flying Without
Wings’. It was great to see him again. Then yesterday we performed a song
from the new album called ‘Amazing’ that you’ll be able to catch on Top
of the Pops Reloaded very soon, and then flew over to Belfast to do an album
signing in Dublin today. I’m writing this before the signing has happened,
and am looking forward to seeing some of you guys – I’m sure there will be
a few familiar faces there! It’s always great to see our Irish fans, they
really know how to make us feel welcome.
As for the weekend, we’re playing at G-A-Y in London in the evening, and
then performing ‘You Raise Me Up’ on TOTP on Sunday. Oh, and listening to
the charts of course!
Take care and thanks for all your support.

Kian's Diary From The Road
22 October 2005
Hi everyone
Welcome to our new ‘Diary From The Road’! We’ll be taking it in turns to
fill you in each week on what’s going on in Westlife world…
Okay, here’s what happened last week. Monday and Tuesday were pretty much
interviews and photoshoots all day with magazines from Germany and Sweden and
phone interviews for China, Japan, India, Mexico and South Africa – so all
you guys over there, keep an eye out for us! We had a much-appreciated day off
on Wednesday, which meant we had some time to relax! Then up to Glasgow on
Thursday to perform at the Clyde FM Awards, which was really great. We did our
new single ‘You Raise Me Up’ plus ‘Flying Without Wings’ (one of my
favourite songs to perform live). On Friday it was over to Dublin for more
interviews, photoshoots and a performance on The Late Late Show. It's great to
be back in Ireland even if it is only for a short time! We’ve been in
England so long now it's great to get home as and when we can. The single
release isn't far away now so we're really gearing up with all of the
promotion so I hope to see you all soon out and about!
Well that’s it for now, thanks for checking in to the site.
Catch you later
