tour profile...

Favourite tour: Mine was the In & Out tour. We did about 107 nights, in every city, and got to do a lot of acrobatic stuff, like abseiling in. The unfortunate part is it was never filmed as a live show.
Favourite venue: Difficult question for me. I love Belfast, I love the Globe in Sweden when it’s full, Manchester’s always fantastic, Wembley’s great and Dublin’s great.
Standout gig: The Coca Cola Dome in Jo’burg. We did it twice, and both times it was sold out and absolutely jammed. But actually, I think to beat that was two nights in Lansdowne Road on our Greatest Hits tour. For me on a personal level, I was going to Lansdowne Road as a kid to watch the Republic of Ireland play soccer from the age of six, and then to be there and play was incredible.
Favourite track to perform live: World Of Our Own
Most memorable fan moment: Sometimes you get requests from parents to play for their daughters who aren’t very well. This one girl wasn’t going to make it very long and we got up on stage and sang to her. It’s always very, very hard.
Most memorable banner: ‘Nicky shake your shamrocks’
Funniest thing thrown on stage: There was a little baby thrown up on stage once. I picked it up, but it turned out to be a doll.
Most looking forward to on tour: Apart from the live crowds and all the screaming and the girls that throw their knickers at us, I would say the catering.
My dressing room requests: I like Celebrations sweets. I have to have them before I go on stage or I refuse to go on.
